Late Registration

You may still be able to register during LATE REGISTRATION.  If the division isn't full, we accept late registrations.  Click on the registration link above.  If there are available spots in the division you need, the system will allow you to register.  If you are unable to register, then the division is full. Team and teammate requests are not accommodated because players are placed on teams with openings.  If the division is full and you want your child(ren) to be placed on a waiting list, you can send an email to registration@edenprairiesoccer.org.  If registered players notify the EPSA that they are not going to play this season, we will contact the names on the wait list.  Please know that cancellations can happen as late as the last day before the season starts.  No additional players will be added to the roster after the first practice of the season.

Scholarships

Please contact registration@edenprairiesoccer.org for more information PRIOR to registering.

Special Requests

If you have specific requests regarding your child's division assignment, please contact registration@edenprairiesoccer.org. Some requests will require board approval.

Requests are not carried over from season to season - a request to "play up" or "play down" must be made for each season.

Friend Requests

The EPSA tries to honor ONE mutual teammate request per player.  However, this is not guaranteed. Please enter only ONE teammate request on your child's registration. G Division does not have player requests.

How to Cancel a Registration

Contact registration@edenprairiesoccer.org. A refund less a processing fee will be granted if requested by the Sunday before the first practice. A check will be mailed to the primary address on the registration. Late fees are not refundable. No refund is guaranteed after the season begins.

EPSA Refund Policy

A refund less a processing fee will be granted if requested prior to the Sunday before the first practice. A check will be mailed to the primary address on the registration. Late fees are not refundable. No refund is guaranteed after the season begins.

Special Needs Division

EPSA offers a "low key" opportunity for players who have special needs that makes playing traditional soccer challenging or impossible.  If you would like more information about this division, please contact Kirsten Moore at info@edenprairiesoccer.org

Coach Background Checks

We are currently in the process of changing how we run background checks.  Please check back closer to the beginning of the season.  We will also send an email to all coach volunteers when we have the details.

If you need assistance with registering, please contact registration@edenprairiesoccer.org.

Q: What division is my child in?

Refer to the  chart on the Player Information page.

Q: Can I request that my child play with a friend on the same team?

The Eden Prairie Soccer Association (EPSA) adheres to the following player request protocol:

Request will be considered if and only if the following conditions are met:

  • Players may only make one request.
  • The request must be mutual, i.e. both players must request each other.
  • Requests will not be accepted after the last day of regular registration.

As in the past, the EPSA is under no obligation to honor requests. Our primary concern is to put together balanced teams. Requests complicate that process.

We realize that this is a harsh policy, but we feel it is necessary because our program includes more than 1,000 players. Some programs have 50% request rates and “daisy chain” effects often result in more players than can be put on a team.  Quite simply, the Commissioners are easily overloaded by requests.

For those of you who are concerned about carpooling, please remember that most programs play in the same place at the same time.  You should still be able to carpool even if you  are not on the same team.

Q: I’m volunteering as a coach. Can I request to work with another coach?

Coaches and co-coaches may make multiple requests for other coaches (up to three total).  Enter the name of your coaching request in the coaches request field on your child's registration.

Q: When will I be notified of team assignments and practice locations?

You will be called by your coach about one week prior to the beginning of the season.  If you have not heard by that time then call your divisional commissioner.  (Please, no calls before 1 week prior to season!)

Q: Is proof of age required?

Yes.  Either past EPSA registration or other proof is required upon request.  Any falsification is grounds for dismissal.

Q: May parents question a referee's call?

Referees have total game authority.  Many soccer calls are subjective and will always be so.  Parent sideline behavior is expected to set an example for the children.  Your team's coach may ask for clarification but you cannot challenge the judgment or question the integrity of the officials.

Q: How are teams picked?

Division Commissioners run the divisions and try to create equally balanced teams based on age and gender.

Q: Any exception to random team picking?

No.  The coaches, assistant coaches' and team managers' children will be part of their parent's team unless the coach requests otherwise.  Commissioners are under no obligation to honor any other requests for placements on specific teams.  Our goal is to achieve balanced teams.

Q: When will my child's team information be available?

Typically one week prior to the beginning of the season, your child's coach will contact you regarding the first practice. At the first practice, the team manager will provide you with a field schedule, picture schedule, jersey, and other information.
