Division Details
EPSA provides soccer programs for PreK - 12th grade.
Each division is tailored to its age group with specific rules, game formate, and season schedules.

Schedule

New for this season:
- 10th - 12th grade girls may choose to play in F Girls, G Coed, or both.
- G Coed moving to game only format.
A Divison: Pre-Kindergarten
Rules
- 60 minutes total. Games are 4 quarters at 5 minutes each
- Size 3 ball
- 4 v 4 (x 2 in side-by-side format); no goalkeeper
- Kick-ins (not throw-ins) on all out-of-bound restarts
- On a goal kick, opponents must drop behind the midfield line until the ball is put in play
- No sliding tackles
- No offside
- A goal cannot be scored directly off a kick-off, a goal kick, a kick-in, or any other restart except the corner kick (if a goal is scored, no goal is awarded and the opposing team is given a goal kick)
- Cannot score a goal against yourself directly from any restart
- Clock runs continuously, however time will stop while attending to an injured player, for substitutions, and following a goal. Time starts again with a drop ball, with the restart after subs, or with the kick-off
- No headers are allowed. An indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team if the referee sees an intentional header.
- Coaches are welcome to instruct and assist managing their team from the field of play. They are to not interfere with play (mostly staying behind play). Coaching should be "off ball". All judgment calls are deferred to referee.
- Unlimited substitutions may be made during any stoppage of play, with the referee's permission
- All fouls, major and minor, restart with an indirect free kick (no penalty kicks)
- The first ejected player may be replaced (A second ejected player is not replaced)
B Division: Kindergarten
Rules
- 70 minutes total. Games are 4 quarters at 8 minutes each
- Size 3 ball
- 4 v 4 (x 2 in side-by-side format); no goalkeeper
- Kick-ins, not throw-ins, on all out-of-bound restarts
- On a goal kick, opponents must drop behind the midfield line until the ball is put in play
- No sliding tackles
- No offside

- 7 v 7; no goalkeeper; no penalty kicks

- No sliding tackles
- Blatant offside will be called (as part of the goalkeeper protection rules)
- Cannot score a goal against yourself directly from any restart
- Clock runs continuously, however time will stop while attending to an injured player, for substitutions, and following a goal. Time starts again with a drop ball, with the restart after subs, or with the kick-off
- No headers are allowed. An indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team if the referee sees an intentional header.
- Coaches spectators and players may not instruct from behind the goal line
- Unlimited substitutions may be made during any stoppage of play, with the referee’s permission
- All fouls, major and minor, restart with an indirect free kick (no penalty kicks)
- The first ejected player may be replaced (A second ejected player is not replaced)
D Division: 3rd - 4th grade
Rules
- 90 minutes total. Games are 2 halves at 25 minutes each
- Size 4 ball; 9 v 9; goalkeeper
- A goalkeeper has 6 seconds to put the ball back in play. Keepers may not be charged, with or without the ball. An opposing player may not kick the ball out of the keeper’s hands even if the control is tenuous. Keeper cannot pick up a ball deliberately kicked to them by a teammate. Keeper cannot pick up a throw-in from a teammate
- On a goal kick or GK ball in hands, opponents must drop behind the Build Out line (bottom edge of center circle) until the ball is put in play
- No punting is allowed (to align with Build Out line and No Heading rules)
- Keepers may not be charged, with or without the ball. An opposing player may not kick the ball out of the keeper’s hands even if the control is tenuous. Keeper cannot pick up a ball deliberately kicked to them by a teammate. Keeper cannot pick up a throw-in from a teammate
- Offside will be enforced

- No sliding tackles; Major Fouls result in a direct free kick. Penalty kicks apply

F Boys Division : 7th - 9th Grade

- Personalized jerseys are back! After feedback from players about last season's reversible jerseys, we are returning to custom jerseys with individual names and numbers to bring back the pride, identity, and team spirit our players love.
F Boys offers a fun, game-focused experience in a positive team environment. The season begins with a few practices to build team chemistry and sharpen skills before moving into organized games with referees. Players receive personalized jerseys and continue developing their skills and sportsmanship throughout the season.

F Girls Division : 7th - 12th Grade

G Coed Division: 10th - 12th Grade
The G Division is designed to provide a fun, flexible, and game-focused soccer experience for players without the commitment of traditional team structures.
Game Format & Variables
- All games are fully refereed
- No coaches on the field or sidelines
- Players will be mixed into teams each game
- Pinnies will be provided and used to distinguish teams
This division emphasizes sportsmanship, game play, and enjoyment of soccer in a relaxed environment. Because participation may vary from week to week, game formats may adjust based on the number of players signed up or available on game day. This means that certain elements such as team sizes, and length of games may change.
Our goal is to create balanced, safe, and enjoyable games for everyone, regardless of attendance. Adjustments will be made as needed to ensure fair play and maximum participation for all players.

- Sundays only - $40
- Wednesdays only - $40
- Sundays & Wednesdays - $80

Ninth grade players currently registered in F Division may add-on G Division for an additional $20
