EPSA provides soccer programs for PreK - 12th grade.
Each division is tailored to its age group with specific rules, game formate, and season schedules.

A Divison: Pre-Kindergarten

D Division: 2nd - 3rd grade
- 90 minutes total. Games are 2 halves at 25 minutes each
- Size 4 ball; 9 v 9; goalkeeper
- A goalkeeper has 6 seconds to put the ball back in play. Keepers may not be charged, with or without the ball. An opposing player may not kick the ball out of the keeper’s hands even if the control is tenuous. Keeper cannot pick up a ball deliberately kicked to them by a teammate. Keeper cannot pick up a throw-in from a teammate
- On a goal kick or GK ball in hands, opponents must drop behind the Build Out line (bottom edge of center circle) until the ball is put in play
- No punting is allowed (to align with Build Out line and No Heading rules)
- Keepers may not be charged, with or without the ball. An opposing player may not kick the ball out of the keeper’s hands even if the control is tenuous. Keeper cannot pick up a ball deliberately kicked to them by a teammate. Keeper cannot pick up a throw-in from a teammate
- Offside will be enforced
- No headers are allowed. An indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team if the referee sees an intentional header.
- No sliding tackles; Major Fouls result in a direct free kick. Penalty kicks apply
- A kick-off, a goal kick, and a corner are direct free kick restarts. (Goals can be scored)
- Cannot score a goal against yourself directly from any restart
- Clock runs continuously. Time will be added for injuries, for time wasting or for long substitutions
- Coaches, spectators and players may not observe or instruct from behind the goal line
- Unlimited substitutions may be made during stoppage of play, with the referee’s permission
- An ejected player may not be replaced
E Division: 4th - 5th grade
- 100 minutes total. Games are 2 halves at 30 minutes each
- Size 4 ball; 8 v 8; goalkeeper
- A goalkeeper has 6 seconds to put the ball back in play. Keepers may not be charged, with or without the ball. An opposing player may not kick the ball out of the keeper’s hands even if the control is tenuous. Keeper cannot pick up a ball deliberately kicked to them by a teammate. Keeper cannot pick up a throw-in from a teammate

F Division: Middle school
New for 2026
EPSA is excited to announce that F Girls Division has been expanded to allow players from additional high school grades! Girls in grades 7th-12th are welcome to sign up for this division.
F Girls: 7th - 12th grade
F Boys: 7th - 9th grade

- Size 5 ball; 7 v 7 (including the goalkeeper )
- A goalkeeper has 6 seconds to put the ball back in play. Keepers may not be charged, with or without the ball. An opposing player may not kick the ball out of the keeper’s hands even if the control is tenuous. Keeper cannot pick up a ball deliberately kicked to them by a teammate. Keeper cannot pick up a throw-in from a teammate

G Division: High school
The G Division is designed to provide a fun, flexible, and game-focused soccer experience for players without the commitment of traditional team structures.
Game Format & Variables
- All games are fully refereed
- No coaches on the field or sidelines
- Players will be mixed into teams each game
- Pinnies will be provided and used to distinguish teams
This division emphasizes sportsmanship, game play, and enjoyment of soccer in a relaxed environment. Because participation may vary from week to week, game formats may adjust based on the number of players signed up or available on game day. This means that certain elements such as team sizes, and length of games may change.
Our goal is to create balanced, safe, and enjoyable games for everyone, regardless of attendance. Adjustments will be made as needed to ensure fair play and maximum participation for all players.
Player Registration Options
Players may choose the schedule that works best for them:
- Sundays only - $40
- Wednesdays only - $40
- Sundays & Wednesdays - $80
Walk-In Option
Players may also participate as walk-ins:
- $7 per game

- Subject to space availability
F Division Add-On
Ninth grade players currently registered in F Division may add-on G Division for an additional $20
Special for EPSA Referees
If you are currently a referee for EPSA you may join G Division at no cost.
