EPSA Referee Frequently Asked Questions

HOW OLD DOES A REFEREE HAVE TO BE?
We prefer that referees are at least 12 years old.

IS THE GRADE 8 OR GRADE 9 BADGE SPECIFIC TO THE GRADE?

The badge grade is not indicative of the referee's grade in school.  Anyone of any age can be a Grade 8 Referee.
Grade 9 referee clinics are not being offered by the MNSRC this year.

Grade 8 Course: Participants who successfully complete this course can center referee or assistant referee any game.

REGISTRATION FOR ALL NEW REFEREES:
You must create an account on the MNSRC website.

After you create an account, you will be prompted to complete an online training course only accessible after paying the required fees.
You will also be required to take an online test. Only after completing these components will you be prompted to sign up for an in-person clinic.

HOW LONG ARE THE COURSES?
Grade 8 Course:  Approximately eight hours of video and seven hours of classroom.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A CLINIC?
The clinic schedule is available at the MNSRC website.
A new referee can take a clinic at any location.
